Vieve Gore Concert HallRenowned North Indian sarod musician Alam Khan will be featured in anevening of Hindustani ragas. WCS audiences will delight in his incredible virtuosity and artistry. The son of the greatest sarod player Ali Akbhar Khan, Alam performs and teaches at the Ali Akbar College of Music and tours internationally. This is a not-to-be missed concert of classical North Indian music: on display will be an incredible array of complex rhythms (talas) joined together with a multitude of affects and modes in works called ‘ragas’ inspired by everything from the time of day, the seasons, and other emotional reflections.
